"The 208 is clean and affordable and conveniently near campus, downtown, and the parks. The gated entrances give me (the parent of two BSU students) a feeling of security. The management is extremely helpful and friendly. They helped my daughters navigate the application process, sign the lease, decide on their parking options, and pay the deposit. What are the bedrooms furnished with?
The bedrooms come furnished with a full-size bed frame, a full-size mattress, a desk, and a desk chair. There is also a closet and a sink vanity with storage underneath. Beyond the bedroom, there is also a locking pantry in the common area for each roommate.
Do only students live in the community?
No, we do have some non-student residents as well. The majority of our residents are students and we do offer ‘Student Only’ apartments. Currently THE 208 is about 90% students, and 10% non-students.
How close are the apartments to Boise State University campus?
Our apartments are two blocks away from campus. The BSU Shuttle also provides pickup at our parking lot.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the community.
What if my student doesn't have a roommate already?
No worries! We have a roommate matching system to help them find a good fit. They just need to complete a roommate matching form that will ask for some simple information.
What is a termed lease?
This is a lease where the total value of the contract is split equally between the number of months the contract lasts. For example, if somebody were to sign a 12-month lease contract for $6,000, we would split that into $500 a month. The first payment is due on move in day, and all subsequent installment payments are due on the 1st of the following months.
When can we renew our lease?
Renewal offers are typically provided in late fall. The deadline to guarantee the room for the following year is March 31st.
How can I pay rent?
Rent can be paid in the office by check, cashier's check, or money order. It can also be paid through our online payment portal. Please ask any of our office staff if you have questions regarding payments!
What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is a person who applies to financially back the resident in case the resident is unable to make lease payments. They hold the same financial responsibility as the lease holder but none of the access privileges granted to the resident.
Are utilities included?
Yes. Electricity, water, gas, sewer, trash, and WiFi are all included.
How does parking work at The 208?
We have Single and Tandem parking spaces that are offered for a monthly rent on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact a member of our staff about current rates and availability.
Where can visitors park?
Street parking is available overnight and for two hours from 8am - 8pm. Please do not park in The 208’s parking lot unless your Resident is leasing a parking spot from us and they have given you permission to park in their designated space.
